Newly newborn…photos from after the birth!

Most babies I photograph are at least a week old or older. This one was probably only 20 minutes old when I started shooting away. 

I’m generally freaked out by the whole pregnancy and birth thing. I love children, it just terrifies me that there are little humans growing inside bellies. But this birth was special, because it was the first grand-baby in my family. 

I stayed outside of a 100-foot radius during the birth…and was still horrified by the women moaning and groaning. But when you hear that cry…it’s completely amazing. 

Even though this is my nephew, I am not biased at all. He really is insanely beautiful and I will upload more recent photos to my blog. He has to be the most photographed baby ever at  one month old tomorrow!
