Green :: Life after the storms & flood in TN (Ashley DeYoung Photography)

I haven’t written nor said much about the insanity that has happened in Nashville recently. I’m not really sure what to say, other than indescribable and beyond our imagination. After this wicked 1000 year flood that hit my sweet state of TN in May of 2010, life is finally starting to peek up through the water.

If you couldn’t tell by my website and blog, I love green. “Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony.”

Today, it rained again. We need a break from the rain in TN, but I thought I’d take advantage of the cloudy day and capture some of this “life” that has come out of the rain.

“In our lives there is bound to come some pain, surely as there are storms and falling rain; just believe that the one who holds the storms will bring the sun.”
