My guilty pleasure is watching the “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. I suppose I need to get a better feel for GA since I’m moving there. 🙂 So I’m catching up on the latest season.
It’s difficult moving 400 miles away after starting a business. I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I move down there next week. It will take a while to build up clientele. I’m trying out several different things to keep me busy.
There are a million things that I want to do. I’d like to dabble my hands in a little bit of everything. Yes, photography is my number one passion, but it’s not my only passion. I love all art. I love to cook and bake. I love to write.
So I think I’m going to spend the next year experimenting in all of these things and see where God leads me. I’m not giving up photography. Who could resist photographing little faces like this?
I’m going to continue pursuing photography, while also trying other things. And definitely blogging more.
In the mean time, I’m running around snapping pictures of everything I can find and selling the prints…here is a link to the gallery of the ones that I’ve shot recently…email me if you’d like to order.
The past two weeks I’ve had more free time than I know what to do with, since I’ve taken time off from my business to move and get married. I haven’t had this much time since I got sick with mono and stayed in bed all summer.
I never watch the television, but I’ve started watching it lately. Well mainly the Martha Stewart show and the Food Network.
I’ve become so annoyed by this whole idea of “dumbing down recipes” for busy moms. Or “semi-homemade recipes” for the mom on a budget. I think there has to be a happy medium. So I decided to bake today.
I wanted to bake a homemade crust for pumpkin and fudge pie instead of using the pre-made frozen kind.
Now I need to eat some. 🙂
It’s not that difficult to make and it’s rewarding in multiple ways.
I can’t remember what life felt like before the chaos of a wedding and moving kicked in.
Here it is two weeks before I marry my best friend and everything is crazy!
I was told I was crazy for wanting to plan a wedding in 3 months, move 400 miles away and continue to run my business and work. I’m managing somehow.
There’s been a huge transition in my life. I’ve officially retired from being a nanny. This past Saturday was my last night. While I do love children, I don’t think I want to find another family in Georgia to nanny for. It’s time to move into photography full time. I made them a photobook of the pictures I took on the trip they took me on to Marco Island this past summer…photos are in video below.
I feel like I’m saying goodbye to everything. My job with the boys, my hometown, my church, my friends, good sweet tea, my home, my family…everything I’ve ever known.
My sweet Tennessee I will miss you (and great harvest’s pumpkin chocolate chip bread!)
I’m moving in one week and I cannot believe it. I’ve been waiting for a long time for this day to arrive and here it is just one week away. Bizarre. I’ve dreamed about my wedding day since I was a little girl and here it is two weeks away.
I’m really trying to sit back this week and enjoy the transition process. I want to enjoy my favorite things about Franklin. I don’t want to stress about moving or getting married. Life is too beautiful to be wasted by worrying.
I can’t wait to post pictures of my wedding. It will be weird to be on the other side of the camera! 🙂
I’ve had a lot of positive response on my contests and I haven’t had one in a while. I’ve decided to give away one free custom photo name panel (Up to 7 letters).
One lucky winner will get a custom name panel
and one runner up will receive either your choice of a love, hope, or home panel…
Leave a comment saying “CONTEST” to enter! Winner will be posted in 1 week here & on my facebook page!
I haven’t posted any of these in quite a while.
Here’s some recent orders for my custom photo name panels!
This is “Langston”. I’m having this one printed for my client as a 1.5″ gallery wrap. I think it will look pretty cool hanging on a wall.
This is “Johnson”. This one will be matted & framed.
I know more and more people are doing these custom framed photo name panels, but I’m trying something different by offering them as gallery wraps, float wraps or mounted on boards. It gives it a more fresh and modern appearance!
Contact me if you are interested in one. firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can order just the panel for $35!
